For more than 100 years, Rotary has united leaders committed to applying their expertise to better their communities. Rotary is where neighbours, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change. There are currently 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs worldwide. Our members volunteer around 16 million hours each year to local and global initiatives. During the past 100 years, the Rotary Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects, such as immunising 2.5 billion children against polio. With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.
Rotary has identified six areas of focus that reflect critical humanitarian issues and needs that Rotarians are addressing worldwide. These include:
- Peace and Conflict Resolution
- Disease Prevention and Treatment
- Water and Sanitation
- Maternal and Child Health
- Basic Education and Literacy
- Economic and Community Development
